Tribal Prints – Featuring Zara Shorts with Side Frill

The irony of this statement! “We Eat Deductibles.” If you know my profession, then you’ll understand why. I have no idea why upon seeing this garage gate, I was reminded of a saying we used to use as young kids. “I eat those,” which is a slang statement used usually after someone does or says something violent to you. Ex. You kick me very lightly and I reply by saying “I eat those…” LOL So silly, so memorable.

A few months ago, I was discussing how I thought it strange that society was selling us our culture… and that it was all of a sudden a good thing to be aware of  one’s culture. Here’s a prime example: the recent popularity of african prints. I don’t know who gave these high- end designers the idea to charge ridiculous prices for african prints; I’m not buying it. And neither should you. I am inspired by high-end designer, Stella Jean and her amazing designs but I just can’t get over her price tags. One african print dress is like $800. I almost choked when I saw that..

What I will support are these shorts from Zara. Tribal print and less than $40? I’ll take it! It’s just the perfect blend of pastel and neon colors. I also love the fact the its spandex material and has side frills. My previous post features a floral peplum top that I thought matched perfectly, but realized it doesn’t have the same print pattern. I plan to pair the two on vacation this summer so stay tuned for that!IMG_2850

I first wore these Jeffrey Campbell strappy heels here. These heels are so amazing; not quite ideal for women with large legs. It’ll take about 10 minutes to adjust the buckles to fit the circumference of your leg….LOL

I paired the look with a NY & Co. white collared shirt, H&M faux leather jacket, and Target mini bag. Clearly by now you’ve realized these sunnies have become my favorites!

If you live in the states, have a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend!

Omg, those heels are beyond amazing! Love them❤️ Are they comfortable?
I’m glad I’m not the only one who had noticed the recent influx of African prints…and while some designer have created some truly beautiful pieces the price tags are hard to swallow.
That being said, l love your Zara shorts and how you’ve styled them! Nice touch with the moto jacket.
