Last week I spent two days in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region in Ghana, to visit family. We’re just ending the rainy season in Ghana so the weather is really cool and breezy.
Besides catching up with family members, one of my favorite things to do in Kumasi is to go to the market. The last picture is a shot of George (my mother) in Kejetia Market. We picked up some groceries as well as some small souvenirs for family and friends. Markets in Ghana (and other developing countries) are very different from those in the America. In Kejetia, you can find anything from baby wipes to black market currency exchanges. It is really a one stop shop; think flea-market style Walmart on steroids.
I’ll most likely add more pictures to this post when I return to the states. In the meantime, enjoy!
-Be blessed!
Kejetia! It has changed since I’ve last been there but I love this post. See you soon 😀 :-*

Maybe it’s the picture I took because it hasn’t changed since my first visit back in ’97…lol
