Somehow simple looks make for major impressions.
Since we’re on the topic of goals on JMTR, I should share with you my 2015 style goal: (1) to buy ONLY quality pieces that fit perfectly. (2) to spend more time at my tailor and shoe cobbler.
The best thing you can do to revamp your wardrobe is visit a tailor. It’s not always necessary to go shopping; (I should preach to the choir lol) sometimes a little nip and tuck here, a little seam there, and voila…you’ve got a new and improved look.
This Zara waistcoat and trousers were impulse buys that later became statement pieces. I typically reserve shopping at Zara for sale season; but occasionally, I like to window shop to prepare myself for what I’ll be hunting for when sale season comes around. I’ve been wanting a waistcoat since the winter! So when I saw this tailored navy blue one, I snatched it and headed to the register. Navy blue fits well with pretty much everything, easily making it a staple color. You guys know I don’t fancy trousers, but recently they’ve been appearing on JMTR. Why? Because I’m spending more time shopping for them at quality stores. I’ve concluded that the high-waisted and elastic blend trousers work best for me. If your waist is proportionately smaller than your bum and thighs, you too might find success with these options. Go for it!
God bless you!
