Guess who can actually finally breathe in a leather skirt? This girl!

This is an outfit I can wear to work in boldness and confidence. If you’ve been following my blog for some time now, you may know that I struggle with corporate dress code attire. When picking outfits for work, I always ask myself the question, “What would you say about this look if you were a middle-aged woman have been working in the corporate sector for 20+ years?” I place myself as a middle-aged WOMAN because I find that men, regardless of age, could care less. They’re mostly concerned with whether or not you get the job done efficiently.

This leather skirt is on sale in select H&M stores for $30. I was drawn to it because it addresses my love/hate relationship with leather clothing. We all get that leather is modern and trendy, yes. But for those of us who sweat profusely; for those of us who have been BLESSED with big thighs; for those of us who are extremely active, leather can be a crutch. My favorite clothing item of all times is a leather pencil skirt. But leather pencil skirts are too damn hot for my thunder thighs; typically have to wear shorts underneath to create a barrier between each leg. Now with this midi skirt above, it flares! I get the same result as a leather pencil skirt, except this time, my thighs can breathe! Job well done H&M. Job well done. And who’s checking for me at work? Not middle-aged Sally Sue Horn!
