Is it me or does it seem like you spend so much time thinking after reaching 25? I think a lot man. And naturally, you might be thinking there’s really no big deal with being consumed in your thoughts. But time and time again, we have the word of God commanding us to watch our thoughts and imaginations.

2 Corinthians 10: 5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Proverbs 4:25 Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.

Romans 8: 5-7 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. As you may enjoy an extended weekend, be mindful of your thoughts. Renew your mind in Christ and wipe out anything that isn’t praiseworthy. Protect your interests by protecting your thoughts. Make them sacred. And never forget, comparison is the thief of joy! Don’t compare yourself to others. You are you because God saw it fit and purposeful to have a you on earth. What, then, is your purpose?
