Removing the Feeling

 Separating feelings from responsibilities.

I didn’t feel like blogging today. In fact, I wore this dress to work and church last Wednesday and I’m wearing again today to work and to church. I don’t feel like doing much of anything these days.

I didn’t want to go to the gym during lunch either; but I forced myself to go because I reasoned that it’s not about what I feel like doing but what I should do.  Same applies to work, blogging, and praying to God. I rarely feel like leaving home to go to work, but I need to make money. I rarely ever feel like blogging, but I need to because I committed to posting every week day in August. And I don’t feel like praying to GOD most days, but I do… because, well, HE is GOD.

If we could learn to separate emotion from responsibilities, I think it’ll be a blessing for us. Being controlled by your emotions is a recipe for disaster…I know a thing or two about disasters because I’ve see one or two or 12 of them in my life.

See ya tomorrow!

Great post. Always have to motivate myself to do things I don’t want. Thank you for the reminder -it was needed. Stay blessed. 🙂

Good read! Sometimes the mere fact that we have made commitments keeps us going otherwise…those feelings!
