Nobody has to tell you I handle money poorly because I’ll tell you myself. For some time now, I’ve been very honest about my finances and my debt. November 1st, I sat down and totaled how much I have in debt (student loan make up 81%) and realized that I must learn to also be a Christian in my finances.

Read many scriptures on debt, heard a handful of sermons on the topic- yet it hadn’t clicked until recently. One thing I am indeed grateful to God for is that I never lacked or went hungry in life. While I’ve experienced very low lows as a struggling college student; during those times, I managed to still eat spaghetti and pasta sauce for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So God has indeed been good.

If you recall in my prior post, one of the reasons I wanted to stop blogging was because I found myself spending money unnecessarily on clothes to stay relevant as a fashion blogger. However, I recently challenged myself to be stylish by curating outfits from what I already have in my closet. So get ready for repeats on JMTR. This isn’t to say I’m done shopping; I just won’t buy with money I could be using to pay student loan debt. With that being said, I’m still accepting partnerships and sponsors from brands, lol.

Proverbs 22:7 says The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. I am officially over this servant life.

Here’s some Testimony Tuesday inspiration from 2 Timothy 2:4:

No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.

I honestly prefer it when bloggers show several ways of restyling pieces, I look forward to your future posts and pray for God’s help in this new step. Love your colour incorporation in this look. The coat is dope too.
