Making it Work

How to make it work even when it really doesn’t work.

Happy Monday, family! Please forgive me for my one week absence. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen from my Instagram stories that I was sick. This marked the third time of me being sick in one month. No one can convince me this isn’t spiritual attack but that is neither here nor there. In any event, I am at about 80% now and I just want to thank you all for your prayers. Many of you messaged, emailed and texted me. So to that I say God bless you!

And what do we have here today? Well, there are a few things going on in this outfit post. First off, it’s been a while since you all have seen my natural hair on the blog. The wigs were becoming a bit annoying. And for my wig wearers, do you ever just want to touch your scalp? Lol. If you answered yes, those were my sentiments this weekend. I achieved this twist out on stretched hair using Asiam Twist Defining Cream.

Second, I am extremely disappointed in this Stilla foundation I’m wearing above. It is way too light for my skin and unfortunately I didn’t realize it until I received my pictures from my photographer. So please don’t clown me for wearing too light of a foundation on the blog for the next few weeks. Hey it happens!

Last but certainly not least, this skirt! This skirt is one of my monthly picks from Romwe. I have to admit I was a bit bold in selecting it. Although far from my typical modest pieces, I couldn’t resist the style! When I received it and tried it on, I heard Jesus say “nope.” We all know I have muscular legs and a big bum and this skirt doesn’t shy away from highlighting those assets. I did not want to give up on the skirt, so I thought to pair it with skinny jeans and voila! Not so bad right?

I ordered the skirt in a medium for those of you who are interested. With or without pants underneath, I’m sure it will look great on you! And at $19, can you really resist?
