Today’s Testimony Tuesday post is a little different. I told you in a previous post that I would like to share the testimonies of my readers on days that I do not have one to share of my own. Today’s testimony belongs to one of my readers. She shared hers with me via email and I thought it was such a great one for you all to read.

Bible says in Revelation 12:11 that we defeated Satan by the blood of Jesus and by the word of our testimonies. Our testimonies are powerful. They are the Word of God; and our words of how God is a faithful God. My beloved reader, and now sister in Christ, proves AGAIN that God is greater and if He said He will do it, He will surely do it.

The Testimony:

I got married in 2006. My husband and I were very happy, in love and ready to start our family. [However], we could not conceive for eight years. During this time I lost hope. I visited several doctors in vain; I had several cycles of IVF [in vitro fertilization]. None of it worked. It just so happened that in this time my mother fell ill. She was diagnosed with many illnesses- one of them was cancer. It was a very painful time in my life to watch my beloved mother suffer in illness. To cut a long story short she passed away. In all the eight years of my marriage my mother stood by me, prayed with me, waiting anxiously for her grand child to come. I traveled to Africa to bury her [because] that was her dying wish.

Genesis 48:11
And Israel said unto Joseph l have not thought to see thy face again and lo, God hath showed me also thy seed.
Jacob is speaking of the goodness and faithfulness of God, not only to allow him to see his beloved son again but also to see his grandchildren.

A year after l lost my mother, my husband and l conceived a baby boy naturally! Oh what joy filled my broken heart, dried my tears away to hold my baby boy whom l had prayed and prayed for!
There are things in life that we don’t expect but God makes them happen on our behalf. What are you expecting in your life? Have you given up on God? Are your expectations too small?
God is still performing miracles [so] don’t give up hope.
Thank you for allowing me to share my testimony.
I pray this encourages someone.

My reader certainly encouraged me with her testimony. After EIGHT years of barrenness, God opened up her womb immediately after the passing of her mother. Talk about the goodness of God! I believe my sister in Christ was able to see the faithfulness of God because she did not lose FAITH!

What is it that you are trusting God to do that you haven’t seen Him do yet? Are you barren? Have you been praying for a breakthrough? A change in your situation? Maybe to marry? Whatever it is, know that GOD is FAITHFUL even when we are not! He will never leave nor forsake us. He is a covenant keeping God. Don’t look at the time. God is the creator of time! At just the right moment, your prayers will be answered.

Have a testimony to share?  Send it to me via email auntiechristieblogs@gmail.com and I’ll share it anonymously on Tuesdays!
