My Surprise Bridal Shower

Celebrating my Bridal Shower!

My bridesmaids, or Bourgeois Bride Tribe as I like to call them, surprised me this past weekend with a very bourgeois bridal shower! If you know me, you know that I don’t like surprises. If I suspect you are trying to surprise me, I’ll spend the rest of my days on earth attempting to uncover the surprise. As a result, I ended up finding out about the date of the bridal shower- but wasn’t given ANY details whatsoever.

You only get one bridal shower, right?

I decided on wearing an original kente piece by my favorite New York designer- D. Auxilly. I gave her absolutely no direction with this outfit, yet she finessed it as if she was born and raised in Bonwire, Kumasi! (where kente cloth originates from)

I’m so appreciative of my bourgeois bridesmaids and I’m excited for you beauties to see all of the upcoming events leading up to my big day!
