Furnishing Our Home with Raymour & Flanigan

As mentioned in my previous post, my husband and I bought our first home recently. One thing I particularly loved about our home the first time I saw it was that it was completely renovated and empty. This allowed me to envision the different style designs I wanted to emulate.

When we finally moved into our home, 95% of our previous furniture simply didn’t cut it. Previously we rented the first floor of a house that contained enclosed rooms and shorter height ceilings. As a result, we bought furniture that was specific to  that place. Our apartment was dark and outdated, and for some reason the furniture we purchased reflected that style as well.

Our new home is the complete opposite. The many windows allow so much natural light into the home and most of the rooms are bright with lighter colored ceramic tiled floors. I needed quality modern furniture that would compliment the design of the home nicely so I partnered with Raymour & Flanigan.

We visited our local Raymour & Flanigan showroom and was helped by the manager. We shopped on a Tuesday and received all our selections on Friday! I love that Raymour & Flanigan offers free delivery in 3 days or less, 7 days a week. With new baby on the way, we anticipate quite a few guests in our new home and needed furniture immediately. Raymour & Flanigan really exceeded our expectations with the quality and design, price and delivery. The best part? We didn’t have to assemble anything!

Our Living Area

Our kitchen, dining, and living area are open concepts. We wanted to keep the color scheme the same in this entire area: whites, greys, blacks, and neutrals. In the living area, we went with the Veronica Sofa and Chair. I love upholstered tufted furniture with silver decorative nailheading. This set was the perfect color to jumpstart our living room design and will be the foundation for the rest of our furnishing. We complimented the set with the Greta Round Cocktail Table in the center of the living space. We are excited to complete this space with more Raymour & Flanigan furniture.

 The Dining Area

Continuing with the same color scheme, we opted for a dining space in white, greys, and natural hues. It was important for me to get a dining table that was adjustable to accommodate larger parties. I needed a table that minimally sat 6 but could host more people at the right time. The Lorient dining table was the perfect option, with an oak hardwood finish in brown and a 20 inch self-storing leaf. The leaf is so easy to remove and add and allows this table to transform into a larger one that can seat up to eight people. We complimented the Lorient Table with this Chelsea Area Rug in Grey!

The Family Room

Our family room will serve as the family living space. This is the room we will spend most of our time lounging and watching television. I wanted this room to be “baby approved,” colorful, and bright. The first thing I needed to get was a long sectional sofa that included a chaise. It was imperative for this sectional to be comfortable, stylish, but sturdy. When I saw the Corolla Modular Sectional at the Raymour & Flanigan Showroom, I knew it was meant to be in our family room. The color was the perfect blue hue, and the sectional was large enough for our large space. Although I took note of the measurements, I had no apprehensions about this sectional working since it is a modular and can be shortened.

I hope you love our furniture as much as we do. We are very excited to continue to furnish these rooms (because there is so much more to add- ie. wall art, etc.) with more Raymour & Flanigan furniture. If you have any questions or suggestions, do leave them in the comment section below!
