Taking our home to the next level with Blinds.com
Before you buy a home, you more than likely don’t consider investing in furniture that significantly increases the value of your home. You more than likely are not thinking about window treatment offerings; but at best, you may consider buying a great mattress.
When we purchased our first home last year, it came without any window treatments. We loved the fact that the windows were new, as was most of the house’s interior design- and wanted to get quality shades to compliment the windows. Therefore, I was so excited to partner with Blinds.com on this interior design project.

I first worked closely with a Blinds.com designer who talked with me about the windows I wanted blinds on; and the kind of styles and fabric offered. She sent me samples of various fabrics, to which I was able to choose the best style and design for my home. Upon selecting the fabric, I chose the kinds of shades we’d use for the house. We opted for Premium Light Filtering Roller Shades in color Botanica Vintage because it dressed our windows in stunning natural and synthetic fibers and adds texture and dimension to them. These shades gently filter light through the shades without completely blocking out light. We included valances for a finished look and a beaded chain which is a hassle – free option. We also included motorization for the dining area shades to allow us to raise and lower with a remote control.
The Blinds.com designer booked an appointment for a professional to measure my windows, and then placed the order. The shades were shipped to my house within two weeks. Upon shipment, I scheduled an appointment for installation which only took approximately 20 minutes for all four windows.
The result is perfect. Our shades look so timeless and modern in the front of our house and we know they will do well for many years to come!
