Sharing a short word of encouragement for the believers who may have fallen in sin.

WHAT I’M WEARING:
I was having a conversation this past weekend with a woman who is pregnant out of wedlock and she was talking to me about how loving her pastor has been through it all. Although he did discipline her, she feels restored by both God and by man because of how her pastor handled and comforted through the situation.
Her testimony was so encouraging to me- probably more than she could even imagine. But it led me to think about the times I have fallen on my Christian walk, and how even after being forgiven by God, I still allowed the enemy to remind me of my sin. And then I was reminded of the times I was used by the devil to remind others in Christ of the sin(s) they committed.
I had to repent of it all…
It is really important to understand that falling does not make you lose your title of child of God. Staying down after you fall might. But God is so merciful and kind that He won’t allow you, the child of God, to stay there.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. Psalm 37: 23-24
Good people fall in sin. Children of God fall in sin. But they are not utterly cast down.
There is hope for you after your fall. Don’t let anyone, including your own self condemn you. You will make it because God is upholding you with His mighty Hand.
Whatever mistakes you made in the past, forgive yourself and ignore those who are not able to see past your mistakes. God is upholding you and has a plan for you, still!
